WOW I CANT BELIEVE IT IS FRIDAY ALREADY!!!!!!

So much is going on this coming week I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!

The weekend gets kicked off tonight by going to the PEARL JAM concert with my bestest friend Christine!!!! The last time I saw PEARL JAM was like 99 at then the Meadows!!!! So i am SUPER EXCITED to go tonight and we have seats so even better!!!!

Then tomorrow Aveen and Gaz are coming here all the way from ENGLAND to visit for the week and a half!!!!! After all these years of going to visit them they are here visitng Rob and I!!!!! SO I have a fun packed week with them. Starting this weekend in BOSTON!!!!! Then next weekend in NYC!!!!!! I am sure we will do lots of other things but those are the biggies!!!!!

KICKBALL!

Thats right I am on a Kickball league! OUR TEAM IS THE KICK KATS!!!! We play every Wednesday night! Right now we have won 2 games and lost 1 not bad for our first year right now!!!!!

So in tradition of being a team …like back in high school…… WE decided last week to do individual team pics!!!!!!

Last Saturday 06.20.08 I had the pleasure of shooting Tricia and Dave’s wedding at the Bond Ballroom.

The Bond is really one of my favorite places to shoot. The large windows, the ambiance and the whole feel to the place is amazing!

I knew going into the wedding one of my favorite florists Datura was going to be doing the flowers. So I was so excited…and just excited about the table pieces alone… you will see why later! When I arrived at Beautique Salon I got even more GIDDY for I saw Janice of Naomi Martinez Salon! I knew now I was in for killer photos….killer makeup + amazing hair and flowers what more could I ask for!

The day started off amazing… good friends and family at the salon and then we headed to get ready.

Thanks to Carla’s post awhile back I knew what to do when you have no place for a dress shot!

These 2 photos really captured me when going through this day. I will just let the photos say what I feel:

I was so excited cause i got some time at the Bond before anyone was up there to photograph Tricia alone! What a blast and the light ahhhhhhh! AMAZING did I mention AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Right after the ceremony we went over to Elizabeth Park and guess who i run into?????? CARLA!!!!! She was out shooting and engagement shoot!!! How Fun!!!!

Okay so as we were doing photos of course the rain storm blew in……but Tricia and Dave said keep going!!!!!!! And we did See the amazing photos we got!!!!!!! Meg and I were soaked but how cares for the photos rocked!!!!!!

So then we left the park and headed to the Bond and the rain stopped! So we went outside to rock a couple more photos!

I did not mention that the center pieces were feathers how cool!!!!! I have NEVER seen anything like this…… LOVED IT!!!!!

And of course their first dance! I love this shot that Meg caught from above!

Well the night went on with great food, drink and music by Tom Conte!

The photobooth we did was also a huge hit…….. and what a surprise I got to see an old friend from high school!!!!! Photos from there to come soon!

Lately I have really been getting into maternity sessions. I really love the way a women looks all glowey, healthy, excited and full of color! Dads to especially if it is their first child are so excited and full of energy to meet this little child!

I had the privilege of photographing J&E last week! What is even more touching than being able to capture this precious time of life is that next September I will be capturing their wedding!!! It is so exciting to be able to be a part of their lives and watch how their family and themselves grow!

J&E are expecting on July 3rd and it’s going to be a BOY!!!!!!!

I LOVE these next 2 photos….. so sexy in a way!!!!

One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is all the different types of people I get to photograph and meet. Some are quite, shy, silly, loud, super fashionable, artsy….. i could go on and on. But this couple does not fit any of those personalities at all! They are their own funnieness …is that even a word? They are super super silly, but loving at the same time.

I met Trisha and Dave from my friend Julie. When I heard Trisha was engaged I was super phsyched and could not wait to her from her about the wedding. See Trisha is a graphic designer so I knew each and every detail will be accounted for! Being the busy girl she is and Dave a busy soccer coach we finally got to tag down their e-session!

So last week we made a run for it and had a blast! We started out at Olympia Diner in Newington….followed by some bowling and then good ole’ elizabeth park! Their wedding is set for June 20th at the Bond Ballroom! and I could not be more excited!!!!!

You all remember my awesome, adorable niece Kendra Marie. Well she is 3 months old now! I can’t believe it! I am truely in love with her and cannot get enough of her…. she’s my favorite niece right now and my only niece!

Well dad and her stopped on by yesterday and we attempted to catch a couple of shots of her. Kendra had other ideas of her own but we got a couple!!!!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Shelly and Jose at WatersEdge with Ali of Brian Ambrose Photography.
It was my second time shooting a wedding with Ali and we had such a BLAST!!!!!!!

The day started out with rocky weather not knowing if it would rain or not. But the rain held out and we got to photograph on the beach!!! Shelly’s only request that day was for beach photos and no rain….. well Shelly you got it!!!! I truly had such a great time with Shelly and Jose …. they were up for anything.

When Christin and Rob came in for their maternity photos last month we had
talked about doing a newborn session. I explained to them that the newborn
sessions are best with in the first 4 weeks. I really prefer 2 weeks for the fact
at that age you feed them and then they sleep. That’s when you can get all those
precious sleeping moments. During these sessions I like to have mom and dad
a part of the session. I feel the bond between parents and child is so magical
it is important to capture this in the very first session.

I was super excited for this session for the day before I had gone to a seminar
on photographing bellies and babies so my head was filled with knowledge I was
wanting to use.

Alyssa was so great she slept just about the entire session!

photographing her since she was a couple of weeks old!

I cannot believe how big she is getting and how cute she is!!!!!
