JENN & BRIAN : ENGAGED FUN

October 30, 2008

October 8, 2003
LOCATION: THE PLAYWRIGHT BAR

“I was explaining baseball to a friend and he asked me who my favorite baseball team was.
Two hours later we made a date!”…… Jenn

Jenn and Brian are 2 peas in a pod. Just looking at them when they talk to each other you see
the sparks flying between them. I originally met Jenn a couple of years back when her IDENTICAL
twin sister Christin got married. Now it is Jenn’s turn and could not be more excited to be a part
of Brian and her day!

We all met up in New Haven and started at the green!

The colors were so vivid that day and the weather was perfect!

No matter what these two are laughing and smiling!

This one is one of my FAVORITES!!

See always laughing!

We turned down this side street and saw some stair. I go down the stairs and
BAM found this cool little hidden spot!

and the created this other FAVORITE of mine!

Jenn & Brian I cannot wait for your wedding day!

Oh and thanks for the beer I got the next one!

Erik Maziarz: great set! love the last two shots. AWESOME!

AriffJasmi: i like your work...... care to share?

Robert J. Trenske: Love all of the shots by the bricks. Great Job Nikki!!

TARA & AARON : MARRIED

October 23, 2008

It all started on a little snowy mountain called Stratton. He was a snowboard instructor and she was there to ride and have fun with the girls. Their two worlds collided and nothing has been the same since.

Tara & Aaron have had a wind whirl of events happen to them over the past couple of years….. from meeting and rideing together to having the most adorable, precious daughter Skyler!

The day 10.05.08

Rainy in the Am but by 4pm the most beautiful October day! Sunny and clear skies! Cool but warm!

Megan and I started out our day with Tara. She was in such good spirits and all I kept doing was reassuring her that the rain will clear!

We entered Tara’s house and was greeted by the cutest little dog….

Meet Snoop Dog……..

Yes that’s right Snoop Dog!

As I was shooting her details Snoop decided he wanted to part of all the festivies.
He was so curious about all that was going on.

Tara was getting her hair done…..
And what a treat to see the hairdresser was an old high school friend.

Then Skyler awoke and wanted to join in on the fun!
HOW PRECIOUS IS SHE……. COME ON NOW!

I LOVE this moment between Tara & Skyler

Such a Tara moment….. Love her face… tara is all laughter and fun!

Then it was off to the guys!
Aaron got all the guys belt buckles for a gift and they all wore them
on the wedding day! How cool!

Having some fun!

Getting Married!

This one rememberd me of a Mike Romano specila!

MARRIED!!!! How cute is Tara…. seriously!

The girls doing it up!

The entire wedding party having fun!

Meg caught this awesome view of them hanging out!

And she rocked this one too!

So there was like this one tree and I was like let’s rock it!
Love the colors and totally says fall!

Lastly I have to show you again how adorable Skyler is!
She was playing on the floor and BAM! I got this!

Tara & Aaron thank you for having us be a part of your special day!

Enjoy your slideshow here of your day!

Eric Foley: Hey Nikki, those images with the leaves in the back ground and the bride and groom in the for ground are spot on! Very nice;)

Robert J. Trenske: I agree with Eric, I like the ones with the leaves in the background as well. Beautiful!!

LILY TURNS 9 MONTHS

October 21, 2008

I have know Kathleen for years now and was so excited when she called me!

A friend of Kathleen’s bought her a gift certificate to ME!!!!!
I was soooo excited that I finally had a chance to photography her daughter Lily!

I meet Kathleen, Lily and Rodger at Wickham Park at couple saturdays ago.

It was the most perfect October ….fall day! The weather was cool and the light was golden and buttery!

When I saw Lily I was starry eyed!

How cute she is! Her hair all up on top of her head!
Her little patent leather shoes….. ohhhhh!!!!

Her expression is so adorable!!!!!

Fun with leaves!

Love her here!

Daddy Time!

Mommy time!

Family time!

Val McCormick Photography: SO ADORABLE! I love the shots in the leaves. She obviously thought they were yummy! I can totally feel her little personality. Awesome Job, Nikki!

OLIVIA TURNS 18 MONTHS!

October 17, 2008

I LOVE seeing my clients grow up!

Olivia just turned 1 this March and her mom Kelly gave me a call to say hey, it’s time for a christmas card shoot!

What perfect time since Olivia just turned 18 months!

Here is Olivia just this March at her 1 year shoot…..

and here is Olivia 8 months later!

This year we decided to go to Lyman Orchards and hit up the pumpkin patch and the apple orchards!

We first started off in the orchards…..

*note it is much easier for an 18 month old to walk down an orchard path then through the pumpkin patch*

I absolutely adore Olivia’s expressions in the next three….

She was showing me her mouth and teeth!

Alittle time with mom and dad….

Little girls need help walking at times….

Mommy time!

So the actual pumpkin patch was to much for Olivia….

Sooooo we went down to Lymans and hung out in there other pumpkin picking spot!

This one is Mom…. Dad… which one?

Dad…Mom….. ready to go I am!

Robert J. Trenske: These are awesome!! I love the one of her with her hands up in the surrounded by the pumpkins (the 2nd from the bottom) it really makes me laugh. Great job capturing her!!

Where do I start?

How Julie & Hayden are so cute together you just want to scream LOVE!!!!!!!

Or how the meet in Newport and decided to pledge their love for each other in Newport by the sea.

Or how about we talk about the rainiest day of the year at the most perfect location.

Julie & Hayden had the best spirits about their wedding day. They planned their wedding at an amazing venue called the Eisenhower House in Fort Adams in Newport. Of course the most amazing venue and the rainiest day of the year yet! September 27th to be exact!

When Meg and I arrived we were so excited about this venue. The big old front porch, the amazingly lit 3 seasons porch, and how about the staircase oh my gosh!!!!! I am getting all fluttered with joy talking about this venue again. My photography senses are all excited and stimulated again ha!

Despite the weather Julie was all smiles and excited!

Julie is a simple girl. Everything about her wedding was very classic and simple.

Starting with her shoes. See She originally had these amazing heels but then we were talking and
found out she was having a lawn ceremony. So after a short discussion about thin heels and the
lawn she changed her mind. And instead had the cutest flip flops!

So here is my take on the shoes……..

And Meg’s take……

That amazing 3 seasons porch I was talking about……
The light ahhhhhh!

Then there was this amazing stair case and we carefully got the dress……

As I shot above Meg shot this below!

Julie getting ready

Because this venue had an amazing front porch we did all our groups there!
The girls before the ceremony……

The guys…..

These flower girls were sooooo cute I could of photographed them only all day!

Julie has such an amazing smile it was hard not to catch it!

To get married…..

This photo just takes me back to what it would of been like in the early 1900s

So despite the weather Julie kicked off the flippers and put on her rain boots!
Grabbed some umbrellas and headed down towards the water for photos!

So Julie bought this small umbrella from Burberry… super cute!

Which lead to this photo!

Julie here is your Newport Bridge shot……

If you look REAL HARD you can see it!

That front porch again was amazing!

And their first dance moment Meg caught…. LOVE IT!

Julie & Hayden THANK YOU so much for having Meg and I! I also have to thank you for being so wonderful about taking photos in the rain!

Here is your sneak peek slideshow!

Candace Jeffery Photography: I love the shot of the three of them walking with the umbrella!

Jacob Bergmeier: love them!

Robin Dini Photography: the umbrella shots are beautiful. but I gotta say, I'm lovin' that second shoe shot. ;)

Rnormfoto: you really did a great job with what looked like a potentially icky day! Very , very nice. Those hanging dress shots are excellent---And I love the green pants on the guys too.

nikki nicole photography: thanks guys!!!!

robin no ofense liking meg's shoes better .... She is flattered!

Robert yeah that day was yucky!!!!!

thanks again!

FARRAH & MATT : 09.26.08

October 7, 2008

Farrah & Matt are as cute as can be!

They keep each other laughing and smiling all day!

I meet Farrah and Matt back last spring when we did their engagement session. We had such a blast and they laughed the entire time! I just knew their wedding day would be full of fun!

One thing we cannot do as photographers is control the weather. I wish we could then all our brides would have the most perfect 70 degree, sunny weather! But unfortunately we do not have control and it rained! That’s right it rained, then sprinkled and then rained. But Farrah and Matt kept up high spirits.

So Meg and I started out with Farrah and the girls getting ready!

I started out with portraits of Farrah at her place.

As I got the above image Meg captured this timeless shot!

Farrah had the cutest flower girl! I could of photographed her alone
all day!

Meg once again was a good sport on keeping our bride dry while waiting for the limo.

Getting Married

MARRIED!

When we got out of the church the rain held off for a bit!
Yes photos outside the church!
I LOVE this photo….. so much emotion and the feel of an old photo.

I also loved this one and a classic feel to it!

A couple more favs of the two of them!

First Dance!

And a couple of my favorite candids of the night!

This one cracks me up!

Farrah and Matt thanks so much for having us!

Salty Grapes Photography: You know, I've really loved seeing how everyone deals with the wacky rain we got this summer... how each photographer makes it work for them. And I just LOVE seeing umbrellas and brides. They're just so cute!!! And I love it when everyone is in just-as-good spirits as if it wasn't raining... =) (Did that make ANY sense? Ha!) Anyway, beautiful photos, Nikki! -Julia

Family portraits are so important!

I look back at when I was growing up and noticed my parents have lots of photos of me and my brother but not any of the family. So for the past 2 years I have been on my cousin Brenda’s case about doing a family photo!

So finally I convinced her and off to the beach we went! Brenda and Joey have 4 girls! That’s right 4 girls!

Meet: The Rigano Girls

First Gabbey : Gabriella

Gabbey is the oldest of the 4 being 5 years old!

Second Bri : Brianna
Bri is 4 and loves to smile!

Third Livi: Olivia

Olivia is 3 and full of life! Smiles I call her!

Fourth and last Sophi: Sophia

Sophi is 2 and the baby of the family. She loves to be independant!

The Rigano Kids : Gabbey, Bri, Livi and Sophi
I will say this was a challenage!
To have 4 girls all at different ages and different personalities
and get a memorable moment! What a job! But I enjoyed every minute if it!

Meet Joey and Brenda : Mom and Dad

I thought it was so important to get a photo of the 2 of them.
Joey mentioned they have not had a photo together since their
wedding almost 6 years ago.

Finally The Rigano’s

Val McCormick Photography: What a sweet family. All girls ;-) I love how you posed them on the rocks. She is so lucky to have you :-)

~hugs~
Val

Salty Grapes Photography: So cute! All of them!!
