In 1999 at NUIT I had a friend who lived on the same floor as Bartosz, freshman year. Whenever he would walk by I would glance in his direction. My friend took note of this & one day, when I was visiting her (with homemade cookies from Nana) Bartosz walked by. My friend picked me up, cookies and all, and brought me down the hall to Bartosz room. My friend put me in the room, ran out and left me there with Bartosz alone! Completely embarrassed, I did the only thing I could think of doing – I offered him a cookie & then ran out! 5 years went by with hellos, goodbyes and nothing more! Until 2004 when we ended up in the same architecture class together. There must have been something in the cookies because before long we were together & here we are now – Krystle

Meet: Krystle & Bartosz

A couple of weeks ago we traveled up to Boston to hang out with Krystle & Bartosz. We meet up with them and had a full tour of Harvard, for that is where Krystle got her masters and Bartosz proposed!

We started off in Harvard Square! Let me tell you what a treat I felt as if we had our own tour guide! Krystle telling us the history and Bartosz giving us the details on the architecture!

With a love for architecture and both being architects we got to see the most amazing interior seriously take a look below!

They are so into each other they made my job easy!

This last one is my favorite from the day… not sure why but it is!

1 year ago baby A was welcomed into Jen & Rob’s lives!

Her she is at 3 months old…….

And here she is now!

Jen & Rob enjoy the preview! It was a blast to spend the afternoon with all you guys!

I have been so busy lately with newborn babies!!!!

AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!

There is something so magical about capturing the first few days of a new life. To be able to see all those little expressions never made before, to capture the little folds of the skin and the innocence is amazing to me.

MEET : BABY R.A & N

I got in touch with baby r.a & n through my newborn call. They were about 17 days old when I had the chance to capture them.

This was quite a challenge for me…. why?…. well it was my first EVER set of twins!

I was so excited and overwhelmed with joy!

Can you tell who is a girl and who is a boy? If it was not for their little parts I would of not known.

Seriously here is some twin lovin!

Here is Baby R.A. ….. the little girl…….she is so sweet and delicate!

Meet: Baby N ……. I love this photo of him and his smirk ….. smile!

One thing I really enjoy doing is getting up close and capturing the little eyes, lips and nose.   (not sure who is who here … honestly!)

MARRIED: JESSICA & CJ

After a week of rain, on and off, the clouds parted, the cool air set in and the sun shined!

That’s right…. the sun came out just for this special day!

Meg and I had the up most pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jessica & CJ on May 2!

We started our day out in downtown Hartford getting ready with Jessica and the girls!

The light in the room was amazing and so were her shoes!

I loved how her girls helped her out getting dressed….

Jessica is very expressing! I just love watching her face!

These next two are my favorite from the day of Jess…..

Once Jess was ready we headed off to City Hall in Hartford so Jess & CJ could see each other….

City Hall is an amazing spot for photos and makes such an amazing setting!

This is another favorite of the day of just Jess & CJ!!!!

One thing I had fun doing was working with off camera flash and getting amazing light!

Where to start!!!!!!

About a month ago I did a Newborn Model Call ….. which by the way I am still looking for a newborn no more than 7 days old!

Baby D’s mom contacted me and I was so excited for he was 2.5 weeks old at the time of the shoot! I was so excited to photograph him!!!

As all newborn sessions I arrived at baby D’s home and was excited to see how amazing the house light was! And how alert Baby D was!

Just look!

So while he was awake I told mom and dad lets grab a couple with the entire family!  And we caught this moment which I LOVE!!!!!

Soon enough Baby D was into sleepy mode which I LOVE! That’s when I feel with newborns you get to capture there innocence and the precious moment time!

The next two are by far my absolute favorites from the shoot!

What better way to finish off the session but with a tiny feet and rear photo!

Thanks Amy & Sal for letting me in your home and trying out some new things!!!!! I look forward to seeing Baby D in 5 months!

As I step into the crossfit gym time after time in awe of everyone around me I get anxious, jealous and then determined.

I watch all the girls swing their fit bodies up and down and back again over the pull-up bar. I watch each girl and guy do one pull-up after another as I warm up each time for my workout. I watch and watch and watch time after time hoping to learn some type of technique. After each warm-up I get on the box under the pull-up bar and do some jumping pull-ups. I feel my breathe getting shortened and my arms getting sore but I still don’t have that darn pull-up without the box. I kick the box out from underneath the bar, and i hear a faint voice from across the gym “Come on Nik you can do it!”. I take a look at my torn, sore hands and take a deep breathe. A big jump up and a grab onto the bar! A swing forward, a swing back, another swing forward and up….. come on eyes see over that bar… is what I keep saying to myself. I let go and get determined to see over that bar. I take a deep breathe again,  jump up and grab onto the bar. A swing forward, a swing back, another swing forward and up and …….. eyes what you are over the bar!!!!!!!!!

THAT’S RIGHT I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!    A PULL-UP!!!!!!!!!!!

See I have be so determined for 6 moths to get at least one up and I have!

I jump down with joy and screams and some high fives… yes high fives!!!!!

That feeling of finally accomplishing something you have worked towards for so long!

Moral of the story: If you work hard towards something you will eventually get it!

And because no post is complete without a picture… get what my dove chocolate told me today!

So much has happened in the month of April and I have not posted any of it!!!!!

I cannot believe that I am so far behind on posting……. okay well I had a minor setback a couple of weeks ago.

So let me start by introducing Shannon & Jay!

“In 2002, at Plymouth State College (where we both attended and played basketball), at a Halloween party we meet! I was a cowgirl and he was….. Paul Pierce? Ha Ha…..” -Shannon

It has been history ever since!

A couple weeks back on the most perfect April day Meg and I headed up to Wakefield, Mass to visit Shannon & Jay. It was amazingly beautiful by the lake. All the trees were budding and the cherry blossoms were out!

It could not get anymore amazing than that above! But it does!

This walkway is one of Shannon & Jay’s favorite ways to walk. They love to stroll down it towards the lake each night and enjoy where they live and I loved how the trees lined the walkway and created an amazing setting!

Then we walked down to the lake and on our way we found this amazing yellow bush! How beautiful!

How amazing is the view by the lake?? Come on now!

and to finish off the day with a little bit of  well…….. not sure….. you tell me!

Thanks Shannon & Jay for having Meg & I to your town! And showing us around! We cannot wait for the wedding day!
