I have been following little Olivia for 2 years now!

I can remember when she was born and all teeny tiny!

AND NOW SHE IS 2!!!!!

With all the rain that has been happening I have seemed to be missing it with my portrait and wedding sessions! Thank goodness …. whew!

So when Olivia’s mom called me about doing her 2 year shoot I was especially excited!  Why???? Well see I have gotten in recently these AMAZING little skirts for my children’s sessions! And I have been dying to use them!!!!!! They are so bright in color and fluffy and FUN!!!!!! I am getting all excited and bouncing up and down as I think of them!

Just look how fum they are!!!!!

SERIOUSLY COME ON! FUN!!!!!!!

They make little girls feel all special inside see how smiley little Olivia is!

When talking to Olivia’s Mom I realized that Elizabeth Park in West Hartford …. the rose garden was in full bloom!

What a perfect place to go with my skirts so magical looking like come one see..

MEET: TANYA & URLACHER (THE DOG)

A couple weeks ago, right before the craziness of wedding season stepped in, I hopped on a plane to go visit a very old pal of mine Tanya. See Tanya and I go way back…. I mean like before we were even born back. See our Mom’s were pregnant at the same time and well I arrived in December and Tanya well January!

Tanya’s husband had been recently deployed back to Iraq…. so what do friends do …. they go VISIT and to NC I went!

While I was getting some well deserved R&R in NC I had to use my creativity and capture a bunch of Urlacher! Urlacher is a mini long haired dachshund. He is just too cute and always gets me with the big brown eyes!

So without anymore waiting meet Urlacher!

Here he is just hanging out in the house. I love how you can see his tiny body! I know he is soooo cute!

Now as important as Urlacher is, so isn’t Tanya!

We went to the dog beach at sunset and got the most amazing light!

I LOVE this ONE!!!!

Again how cute?

Just as we were leaving the beach I saw this amazing fence… I was like HOLD IT!!!!!

Go sit and hang!

Thanks Tanya for having me! I cannot wait to come back and sit on the beach and  oh FRY LIKE A LOBSTER AGAIN!

It was a sunny day with rain in the forecast… all i could think about was please hold off it’s an outdoor wedding! And it did!

Married: Eda & Ermir

I had the utmost pleasure on May 31 to be a part of an amazing wedding! It was my first Albanian wedding and it totally rocked my world! Now I have shot lots of Greek and Turkish weddings but this was my FIRST Albanian and I could of not been more excited!

I started the day out with the guys…. I have been totally digging shooting the guys! Check out the shoes!

Before I headed off to see Eda and the girls the guys wanted to just have some fun! And I don’t blame them!

After that I caught up with Eda and the girls…..

Her details were amazing!

And not only did Eda look amazing but I thought it was so sweet that her dad wanted to be a part of EVERYTHING!

He even helped her get dressed … Check it out! I also could not stop laughing (in a good way) at her father. He was so cute, at one point at the house he whipped out his Polaroid camera that looked like it came from the 80s and started taking Polaroids of Eda!

It is an Albanian tradition for the Groom to come over to the Bride’s parents house and greet the family. All the groomsmen come over and enter into the house first. After kissing the bride (on the cheek) the groom enters and they have a moment. So fast forward we got to do photos before the ceremony! YEAH!!!!!!

We went to Southford Falls on our way to the Fox Hill Inn. There is an amazing covered bridge….

and rocks and paths .. OH MY!

after photos we headed to the ceremony!

Now something happened that was a first for me ever! Each time a bridesmaid or groomsmen came down the aisle everyone clapped. I thought it was so lovely that the guests recognized each person in the bridal party and made them feel just as important as the bride and groom!

A quick moment after they are  MARRIED!

Enter reception!

Eda & Ermir first dance was SPECTACULAR! They did an amazing flowy dance that ended in a beautiful dip!

Then there was plenty of dancing all night long! PLENTY!!!

I love this moment of the two of them having fun and enjoying their wedding!

Now before I end this post I want to give a big shout out to my girl Krystle for coming out and helping me shoot that day!

MEET : BABY R

So at the beginning of June I feel like there was a baby boom! No really I was busy shooting newborns!

And SOOOOO much fun!

Right before I left for North Carolina (a post coming soon of that) I got to meet up the the R family! Baby R was a mere 10 days old!

The best time to photograph a newborn is really in the first 3-7 days of there life. Why? Cause all they do is sleep! And that is how you get those adorable sleeping baby shoots that I die for!

Okay enough of that .. when I arrived Baby R was awake and happy to greet me with mom & dad…

MEET: BABY S

Baby S  was part of my newborn casting – model call last month. Baby S mom is actually friend’s with an old bride Alicia!     I love how some of my clients at times end up being connected to past clients!

Baby S was about 10 days old when I showed up at the house.

Seriously how cute? All bright eyed…..

One type of photography I am really getting into with newborns is what I now call baby scapes.

I am in love with how different point of views with their eyes and lips see..

Then we had mommy and a fellow friend wanted to join in….

Baby Olivia is part of our watch Me Grow Plan!

I get all excited when I get to witness the different stages of a child’s life. Baby Olivia I have had the privilege of meeting when she was a newborn and now she is 6 months! I cannot believe it!

Look at her very blond hair and blue eyes!

The yellow really compliments her well! I also love how angelic she looks in the next photo….

A couple of weeks ago my good friend and extremely talented photographer Carla Ten Eyck (aka C10) and her amazing associate Erik Maziarz graciously took me out for a shoot! I have been asking Carla about shooting me for my new blog and for some other stuff and we finally were able to do it!

It was New Years Eve almost 3 years ago. She was at a bar in New Haven with friends…. He was working the bar. Their eyes met and sparks flew!

Meet: Alison + Mike

I meet Alison almost 1 year ago at a bridal fair. We immediately hit it off and I was even more excited when she pick us for her wedding day photographer!

I had been waiting patiently to shoot her engagement and finally the day came! We had arranged to meet at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford. The day was grey but the fog was rolling in! A bit misty but the most amazing light and conditions!

I LOVE Harkness there is always a new place to discover… I love the vines they take me back to Italy! Take a look!

As we walked around in the parking lot was the most amazing pink trees I was like YES!!!!I just love Alison’s expression!

We found quite little nooks and cuddled! This shot is mine!

And at the same time Megan caught this view which I LOVE!

After a quick outfit change off to the beach!

On our way off the beach we came upon this amazing walk way…. The fog was starting to set in!

At the same time I was shooting above Megan caught this moment..

Then right by the parking lot was this amazing row of trees I just had to hit up!

We meet in high school and re-connected years later. Over the years we have traveled, hung out and curl up on the couch together. I love how we compliment each other.

Meet Katie & Charlie

I first meet Katie last fall over the phone. She was one of the most vibrant and sweet bride that I had met. She was full of spunk and laughter over the phone and when she asked me to be her wedding photographer I was so excited.

Never meeting Katie or Charlie I was so excited to finally connect names and faces together. So a couple of weekends ago they came down and meet me at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford. if you have never been there make a trip! it is such an amazing park and every-time I go there there is a new and exciting place to photograph and uncover!

So we started off in a part of the park I had never explored before. There was this amazing little house and found all these nooks to hide in and have fun!

There was also this amazing field right in front….. and Charlie swept up Katie!

After an outfit change we headed to yet another part of the park that was undiscovered….. this wetland area but first we had a stop  in the parking lot for a bit of love!

Then off towards the beach area for some more lovin!

This next one is one of my favorites from the day. I love the contrast and how clean the image looks!

You can see the love between Katie and Charlie and there is no doubt I am so excited to be a part of there wedding day!

See you guys in August and cannot wait!
