MORGAN AND ROB

It was a beautiful sunny, cool day … perfect for getting married! She put on her white dress and he buttoned up his white shirt. For today was the day they had been planning for and all she could do was smile.

Tyler and I had the privilege of attending the wedding of Morgan and Rob. We started our day off at the salon with Morgan. There was ALOT of emotion … lots of happy tears … It was a beautiful day see for yourself!

It’s not about a big party … it’s about celebrating … it’s about a new family coming together …. it’s about LOVE!

ALLISON AND ERIC

When I first met Allison and Eric I noticed how patient and kind the two of them were. Listening to each others words and making sure to be paying attention to each other at all times. They mentioned to me that their wedding was to be small and intimate at a family estate in Wethersfield, the Silas Robbins House. To them this wedding was not only about love, but a new family for Allison’s son Noah. It was a moment she has been waiting for … for a long time.

Tyler and I arrived at the house and were in awe! The house has been completely restored into a B&B and is just amazing. If you ever have a chance to stay there I would recommend it.

They LOVE vintage inspired items … they wanted a vintage rustic inspired wedding … they went off the traditional path. Jen and Thom wanted an out of ordinary wedding. They wanted a cozy, down home feeling to their wedding and that they did achieve. From the antique broach on her flowers and dress … to the bird cage veil on her head. This wedding was nothing short of elegance and vintage rustic.

My family has always gone to church together every week,  so instead of hiring a limo on the wedding day, I piled into the family SUV and my mom and dad drove me to the church as they have since I was a child.

There were so many favorite moments of the day, but  my favorite “personal touch” was having my mom’s dress with me on my wedding day.  We hemmed the inner slip of her dress up an inch and used the fabric as the ribbon holding together my bouquet.  As I walked down the aisle with my dad, I was holding my mom’s wedding gown.  -Heather

There were so many special and intimate moments during the wedding of Heather and Darrell. My favorite had to of been during the reception Darrell as a surprise went up on stage with the band to play a song to Heather and played the TRUMPET! That’s right he played the TRUMPET!

They grew up one street over from each in a small town!

Tyler and I had such a special experience photographing the wedding of Shannon and Andrew. There was not a part of the day that there was no smiles, laughter or joy. This wedding was a little different for us. Tyler started his day off with the groomsmen capturing what men do best … hanging out!

and while Tyler was capturing all of the above … I was getting ready with Shannon and all the girls! I got to see all the AMAZING floral bouquets by the one and only Tony from Datura!

Then Tyler and I met up for the ceremony at the Holy Family Church in Enfield.

Then over to the Bridge of Flowers in Simsbury

The reception was at The Riverview with lighting and keeping the party going by Big Daddy of James Daniel Entertaiment

This summer had turned out to be some of the best weather for photography! It seems that almost every weekend was beautiful, warn, sunny days! It made all of our weddings so enjoyable! On the day Danielle and Anthony got married the sun was shinning, the heat was perfect and smiles filled the air. Danielle and Anthony had a beautiful venue in Plantsville called the Aqua Turf. Amazing opportunities for capturing images all around!

The day started off meeting up with Danielle. Tyler and I had the opportunity to capture some details and hang with the girls as they got their hair and makeup completed.

So another reason why Tyler and I LOVE working together! While I was capturing the left photograph … Tyler captured the right image.

Summer is nearly over and that golden tan is finally to perfection!
What a perfect time to capture those last summer moments before the cool weather sets in!
We are celebrating these last golden days with September beach sessions!

We met in college at Coastal Carolina University. One night I was out with the girls dancing and Antwon came right on over and asked me to dance. There was just one little problem … or what I call a 3.5 foot barrier between us! That did not stop him … instead of walking around all the people and barrier he just lifted me right up and over it! Then we danced all night long which has brought us to here today … GETTING MARRIED!!! – Marisa

Marisa and Antwon’s wedding was anything from ordinary or traditional! From having a first look and enjoying their wedding photograph time,  to having an amazing New Orleans March to kick off the night! There was never a dull moment for Tyler or me to be photographing! Anthony from Sound Spectrum entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night long at the Riverview.

I need to take the time here to introduce one of the newest photographer’s with Nikki Nicole Photography. Tyler has been with me for a bit over a year and I cannot stop smiling! Here is a perfect example why. As I am capturing this moment in time, he captures same moment different view … now seriously AMAZING!!!

Summer beach weddings …. magical … romantic and breathe taking. I had the privilege photographing the wedding of Kirsten and Brad on the fabulous beach at Harkness Memorial State Park. This year has been a very big year for me at Harkness and as you might recall it is one of my favorite locations to photograph at!

This wedding was very intamate set on the beach of Harkness with about 50 of their close family and friends.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summer has come and gone once again. I can feel the fall setting in … the warm days and cool nights. The sound of the kids at the bus stop in the morning … and the commercials for all the fall fairs on the radios … yes fall is starting to settle in.

This summer was very busy with all of our weddings, portraits and the limited edition portrait sessions. Here is a quick sneak peak at at some of my favorite images from all the Rose Garden Limited Edition Sessions in  June.
